There are six "romanceable" characters in the game - Albrecht, Andrea, Johanna, Klara, Marchelle and Sera. To choose one of them, raise your rapport level with them to 3 (via chats, giving gifts, etc) and then give them the unique gift item "Memento Box" - sold by merchant Salma in camp CH 26.
